Six LISCR FC players have made the final list of players for the Lonestar’s 2019 AFCON qualifiers against DR Congo on Sunday, September 9 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville City.
The six players selected from the eight players training with the home-based squad are goalkeepers Tommy Songo and Ashley Williams that played for national U-20 team in the just ended WAFU U20 Nations Cup where Liberia finished as runners-up to The Gambia.
Also included was the 2018 WAFU U-20 Nations Cup Most Valuable player, Allen Njie who is expected to attend trial with Austria second tier club, Florisddorfer AC in September. Allen received his second to the senior national team along with Sheku Sheriff who was part of the squad for the international friendly against Sierra Leone on July 22.
Kemoh Kamara who plays in center defense and midfield engineer , Saah Nyumah complete the list of the six players in the Lonestar’s squad for the DR Congo clash. All of the players called have played for the senior national team except Sheku Sheriff and 17-year old goalkeeper, Ashley Williams that are yet to make their debuts.
