LISCR FC takes on FC Bea Mountain in the final of the inaugural Blue Cup final today at the Blue Field, and head coach, Tapha Manneh has told LISCR FC media that his side is prepared for the task ahead.
Tapha Manneh’s side reached the final of the Blue Cup after two important wins over Samira Football Club and Barrack Young Controller (BYC) Football Club II. The Shipping Boys grabbed a 5-2 win over Samira Football Club in the first round before winning BYC II 2-0 in the semifinals while Bea Mountain booked their place in the final after victories over Monrovia Club Breweries and Muscat Football Club respectively. They collected a 1-0 win over Monrovia Club Breweries before advancing to the final with a 2-0 win over Muscat Football Club.
Tapha Manneh has described FC Bea Mountain as a very good but said his side is ready for the task ahead.
“They have a very good team. I have watched them played and their team is good. It is going to be an interesting game and I’m sure the match will produce quality football. However, we are prepared for the task. We welcome the challenge and we are fully ready”, Coach Tapha told LISCR FC media.
- A win for LISCR FC will hand coach Tapha Manneh his third preseason tournament and his fifth overall trophy in Liberia. The Gambian mark his debut year in Liberian football in style as he went on to win the Liberia FA Cup and the Liberia First Division League with an unbeaten league record. Prior to the Shipping Boys’ CAF Champions League preliminary qualifier against Al-Hilal of Sudan, the Gambian led the his side to winning the 2017 LISCR Trust Tournament and the 2017 Liberia Diaspora Tournament.
