LISCR FC Meets Liberia U-20

LISCR FC will be looking forward to test themselves when they take on the national U-20 team of Liberia on Tuesday, April 10. The match is expected to kickoff at 8:00 AM at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in the heart of Monrovia.  It will be the second major test match for Coach Tapha Manneh since his side exited the 2018 CAF Champions League after a 3-1 aggregate lost to Sudanese side, Al Hilal.

The Shipping Boys recently won a tight friendly encounter against County Meet giant, Grand Bassa County in Buchanan. Sheku Sheriff and Stephen Seameh scored each to fire the Shipping Boys to a 2-1 win over the Bassa Boys on Sunday, March 25 at the Doris Williams Sports Stadium.

The Gambian tactician will be looking forward to grab a win over Christopher Wreh’s side that is expected to featured six of LISCR FC key players. Coach Manneh told LISCR FC media that his team has been working together for a very long time and he expects nothing but a win from his side when they take on the Lonestar U-20 team. While acknowledging the fact the U-20 team will be featuring some high-profile first division league players in the friendly encounter, he said he’s expecting a normal match and not as difficult as fans would think.

“They are a junior national team and I don’t expect much difficulties. They have players from the same level as we are, but they’ve trained for less of days as compare to us and I think it is an advantage for us. We have been working together for a very long time and I am expecting normal match”, Coach Maneh said.

Apart from the six U-20 invited players that Tapha Manneh won’t be working with, he will have to play without the services of Prince Saydee, Trokon Myers, and Prince Urey that are currently nursing injuries.
